Revival of a Cartoon

RATHER THAN ANTAGONISE the situation where they are defending their right to publish Brett Murray's 'The Spear' portrait of Jacob Zuma, City Press decided not to publish the provocative cartoon by JERM & CURTIS, opting instead for this one by JERM (which had in was rejected last week by The New Age because of the sensitive nature of its subject). The governing party has taken the newspaper to court over the publishing of the artwork, called for a nationwide boycott of the paper, and organised marches at which the newspaper has been burned.
