Moonlighting Mayor
MOONLIGHTING MAYOR: When Cape Town Mayor Helen Zille committed herself to running for the DA party leadership spot vacated by Tony Leon, many wondered how she could hold down two jobs. Gavin Thomson's cartoon contends that president Mbeki had been doing just that - or trying to - on a far grander scale.
Gavin has included the star of one of his strips, Mama Taxi, as an extra in this cartoon; and an acknowledgement next to his signature explains that the idea for the cartoon came from a comment that he had overheard.
