Never before have so many, walked so far, with so few tickets
Gavin Thompson records for posterity the experience of the Cape Town Fan Walk; a 2.4km stroll through the centre of the city from the railway sation to Greenpoint Stadium. The Argentina v Germany quarter-final proved to be an attractive draw even for people without tickets, who attended in their thousands to enjoy the festivities of the day.
