OUR FLAGGING ASPIRATIONS: When the family of the founding father of all that we aspire to and hope for is subjected to violent crime (which represents all that we fear) we are reminded of how precariously balanced our nation's future is. JERM's cartoon juxtaposes these hopes and fears against a backdrop of the national flag; a poignant demonstration of the selfless example Mandela has set, now being threatened by the selfish examples of a few criminals.
