This whole process was started by the ANC if I understand correctly. Like any capex, there is a point of no return and the DA had no choice but to continue. At least Ms Zille is not skirting the issue and playing the "it wasn't me" card.
Eish the people of Slaapstad.....Where were they with their handcuffs and protest posters when the public participation meetings were called for "WELL ADVERTISED". Probably sipping Champagne at Chappie's ne'!! I support most protests when the environment is under threat.....but this one NO the DA did the right thing!! Wake up earlier! I hope these protesters attend the pulbic participation meeting re: MyCiti bus for the Republic of Hout Bay!!
@Anonymous & @Berni as you don't understand that the people of Cape Town have for 8 long years objected to the building of these Tolls on either side of Chapman's Peak (1 planned for Hout Bay & 1 planned for Noordhoek stopped todate). These objections have been lodged & now province has chosen to ignore all environmental guidance to go ahead & allow a corporate palace to be build on Table Mountain National Park. Keep informed & then you won't look so stupid for not understanding the situation.
