Sidelines
While US President Barack Obama has been a disappointment, I was relieved he got re-elected. I was abroad when he visited South Africa, so I did this cartoon a few days ahead. I’ve done baggage cartoons before and also carpet cover-ups. Here I could use both metaphors, one for a president arriving with problems and the other for a president covering things up on his own turf.
