Health minister strikes back
A STITCH IN TIME? This beautifully rendered cartoon by MARK WIGGETT starkly contrasts the striking of medical workers with the efforts of volunteers, led here by the minister of health, who rolled up his sleeves and worked a full night's hospital shift to alleviate the chaos brought about by the medical strike. Perhaps the cartoon is also suggesting that had the good minister attended to the demands of the strikers earlier, this situation could have been avoided?
