Press freedom is celebrated today in the face of increasing concerns worldwide.
The situation has worsened in nearly two thirds of countries over the past year, Reporters Without Borders said in their annual report. Persecution is regarded as "very bad" in 21 countries and "bad" in 51 countries. The situation has worsened in 62.6% of the 180 countries surveyed, according to the non-governmental organization.
