Police minister Fikile Mbalula released the latest crime stats, this week. It's not a pretty picture.
But here's something interesting. There are 34 murders per 100,000 South Africans; there are 156 murders per 100,000 farmers. (There are 30,000 farmers, but the ratio remains the same.)
In other words, if you're a farmer, then you're four times more likely to be murdered.
The government claims that farm murders are merely random acts of crime. Do you trust the government?
