'ANONEUMOUSE':
"It's a parody 'montage' that is the process of composing pictures by the superimposition or juxtaposition of miscellaneous elements, such as other pictures or drawings.
Parody needs to mimic original, at least to the extent the audience can perceive the original expression. Therefore, if one has to make the original expression un-perceivable in order to avoid infringement of copyright, there is no way to create parody as a logical consequence"

Homage or Plagiarism?
SPOT THE DIFFERENCE: This unsigned cartoon by blogger 'Anoneumouse' treads a fine line between parody and plagiarism of the Zapiro cartoon below.
The creator claims it to be a parody in which his (mostly UK) "audience can perceive the original expression" - thus no need for an acknowledgement. See Anoneumous's full comment in the Sidelines column to the left of the cartoon.

THE ORIGINAL 2008 ZAPIRO. Read more about it HERE.
Here is a comparison between the two; where the copied version has been flipped and resized, and a green detail of it overlaid as a mask on top of the original (shown in red). Thanks to JERM for preparing this comparison, and SIWELA for alerting africartoons to the Anoneumouse version.
