Zapiro writes:

"This is my first response to the firestorm around The Spear. It’s a parody of Brett Murray’s parody of the famous Lenin painting. I’ve often thought about putting the shower in this position and it worked here, spurting the ills of Zuma’s presidency which were an integral part of Brett’s whole exhibition, but which were not discussed enough during the controversy because they weren’t immediately apparent in the painting."
