If you don’t know what the The Square Kilometre Array (SKA) project is, then you should probably go back to sleep. In short, it will be the world’s largest radio telescope (split into lots of little ones) and will be located in South Africa, Australia, and New Zealand. The majority of the array will be in South Africa.
It is a big deal.
Understanding the universe (a bit more) helps us understand (a bit more) who we are, why we are here, and what is out there.
