Roberto Millan writes:

"A current proposal from Contralesa (Congress of Traditional Leaders of South Africa) and the House of Traditional Leaders to remove the protection of LGBTI people from the Constitional Bill of Rights has provoked a strong response within the gay community. The Constitutional Review Committee's recommendation that the proposal be taken to political parties for further discussion as well as the current position of its chair, ANC MP Patekile Holomisa, who also stands as acting pesident of Contralesa, has lead to further concern."
