PETER BROOKES has been the resident cartoonist for Rupert Murdock's THE TIMES newspaper for years, and has established himself as one of England's leading cartoonists.
Peter notes that most cartoonists tend to follow a line to the left of their paper's political stance, although his conservative bent is clearly demonstrated by this anti-Brown cartoon, closely tacking his paper's line.
Brookes has made a name for himself with his series of cartoons entitled "Nature Notes" in which he features various political characters as animals, birds and reptiles accompanied by often clever biological descriptions. He has published a number of collections of Nature Notes as well as his other editorial cartoons.
