This cartoon for The Pink Tongue was rejected. I originally illustrated Caster Semenya after she won the silver, but my editor felt the cartoon wasn't LGBTI specific given that she is neither gay nor identifies as transgendered or intersexed. I still strongly feel the cartoon was relevant given the context of the paper, more notably that the paper has and does tackle issues of gender (specifically transgendered individuals or people who are famous for blurring the line).
