LOOK LOCAL REPORTS: Irate religious leaders and members of the community gathered outside the Chatsworth SAP protesting against beauty pageant finalist, Caroline Ashworth, on Saturday, following her alleged racist post on Facebook.
Despite Ashworth’s apology after her post, the Indian community remains furious at the anti-Diwali comments and have threatened to haul Ashworth before the Human Rights Commission. Businessman, Vivian Reddy led a protest march outside the Chatsworth SAP together with the president of the South African Hindu Maha Sabha, Ashwin Trikamjee, Pst Cyril Pillay, AB Mohammed and Bayview community leader, Brandon Pillay.
