Pirates of Zion
OY VEY: Yesterday Israel attacked a Gaza-bound international aid flotilla, killing up to 19 civilians and injuring 30 in an incident which has triggered widespread criticism and comparisons with Apartheid's Sharpville massacre and acts of terrorism.
In this cartoon, Jerm compares the Israeli attack with Somalian piracy, implying 'what's the difference?'.
Jerm has also used this cartoon to acknowledge the passing of a great South African cartoonist, Weyni Deysel, by joining a number of fellow cartoonists who have included Deysel's signature worm in their cartoons.
