This cartoon, which forms part of my ongoing "radical economic transformation" campaign with the Free Market Foundation, has proven to be wildly popular on social media. Some readers took offence, saying that SAA is not an "apartheid dinosaur" and that it was efficient back in the day.
I beg to differ.
Competition was mostly squashed and data surrounding profits was manipulated.
In short, SAA should be sold to the private sector so that more travellers can benefit.
