Burning the Messenger
WHAT THE FAKU? Nelson Mandela Bay ANC chairman Nceba Faku incited party members to burn down The Herald newspaper as they celebrated the party's election victory in the hotly contested municipality. The newspaper has linked Faku to suspect tenders and municipal land sales in PE. In awarding him their Mampara of the week award, The Sunday Times remarked that "this mampara (has) trampled on the legacy of the man his region is named for. Look in the mirror, mampara, and say: 'No, Nceba (pause) Faku' " proposed the paper.
