The Greatest Springbok
THE BEST BOK OF ALL is debated by three of the greatest legends to don the green and gold following the release of the July 2011 issue of Sports Illustrated which lists the top 100 Springboks. In the hotly debated rankings, Smit has been listed as the greatest Springbok ever, followed by Frik du Preez, Os du Randt, Victor Matfield, Naas Botha, Danie Gerber, Percy Montgomery, Joost van der Westhuizen, André Joubert and Mark Andrews. The fact that the vast majority of top ten players last played within the past twenty years would suggest a generational bias. What do you think?
