LIP SERVICE: YALO borrows the metaphor made famous by Barack Obama - that you can put lipstick on a pig, but it's still a pig - with great effect in this comment about the government's concessions regarding the Secrecy Bill. The latest being the ruling party's offer to consult (as yet unnamed) 'public interest groups' before pushing the bill through. Who do they think they're fooling? If they were really concerned about the public's opinion, then a public interest clause would be firmly in place.
