Treknet turns five!
Treknet, the newspaper cartoon strip about the adventures of two fishermen Boet and John, has blossomed from a weekly strip in a local rag to a nationally syndicated daily strip now appearing in 22 publications extending to Namibia and all the way to Sweden. This month the strip turned five years old, a landmark that has only been reached by very few South African comic strips.
Treknet is written by Dave Gomersall and drawn by Gavin Thomson, who also draws Mama Taxi. The strip appears on Africartoons whenever its storyline coincides with social and political events of the day. To see the strips on this site view their Treknet profile.
