Writing for Peanuts
AN INTERVIEW WITH STEPHEN FRANCIS
Stephen Francis, co-creator with Rico Schacherl of the Madam & Eve strip, was interviewed by Adele Shevel for the Sunday Times. Amongst the many interesting revelations to come out of the interview were:
Why he doesn't readily admit to being one half of the Madam & Eve creative team (and under what circumstances he does), how he works with Rico (who draws the strip), what else they do to supplement their income, who his favourite cartoon characters are, how the strip came about and where it is going (hinting at an imminent introduction of the unemployed Peanuts and Calvin and Hobbes characters into the strip's cast).
Visit the recently refashioned timeslive website for the full interview (which excludes that nonsense we wrote about incorporating Peanuts and Calvin and Hobbes!).
