4000 Cartoons (and counting...)

Africartoons.com reached a milestone this on July 1st with the posting of our 4000th cartoon!

Since the site relaunched some 18 months ago with a handful of cartoons being updated on a weekly basis, the website now uploads some 300 cartoons every month, updated daily, and representing all of South Africa's leading editorial and comic strip cartoonists.

Already the greatest repository of editorial cartoons in the country, we expect to reach the 5000 mark by early October and 6000 contemporary cartoons by year end. On top of this, we have secured a large number of historical cartoons which, as soon as we have the resources to scan and upload them, will extend our collection to reflect the past 100 years of South African history (at least from a colonialist and privileged perspective). We also have a number of other exciting innovations planned and urge you to watch this space over the coming months for details.
