Crisis in Limpopo
Rising debt and rising flood waters have brought huge challenges to the province of Limpopo, with the poorest of the poor - as always - the biggest sufferers.
While rescue teams have been dispatched to assist flood victims, the national government has sent in a task force to take over the administration of five departments riddled with corruption and maladministration. Premier Cassel Mathale and his close ally Julius Malema have accused the government of political interference.
