What A State We're In

Cartoon by Brandan

EVERY YEAR, the standing President of the Republic faces the nation to present his State of the Nation Address.

In it, he traditionally makes excuses for promises unkept, and makes promises of things to come. He may also be expected to trump up any successes, and even manufacture a few.

Listen out for a red herring or two to distract us from the important issues, and squint between the lines for unintended revelations. Then read the following day's papers for an in depth critique by  the nation's cartoonists.

HERE'S A SAMPLE of their past coverage of this major event in the political calendar. And revisit as we add more.
