The Revolution Shall Be Tweeted
AND OTHER GREAT MOMENTS IN TWITTER HISTORY
TWITTER has fast become a weapon of mass instruction, as demonstrated by its influence in the Arab Spring uprisings and most recently, Helen Zille's 'refugee' remark which ricochetted around the country within seconds of her tweeting it.
While she might be the most proficient tweeter in SA politics, many other prominent people are featured in our Collection of Twitter Cartoons, which narrates the influence of the social network in local and international politics and social life in recent times.
Nelson Mandela, Thabo Mbeki, Jacob Zuma, Gaddafi, Bin Laden, Mugabe, Mubarak, Malema, Mama Taxi, the entire cast of Madam & Eve - even the mielie lady! - Big Business, Charlie Sheen, Arab State Pro-Dem Youths and London Yobs, and the very irreverent Kemo Waters all star in this show by some of our finest cartoonists.
