Sicelo Shiceka
[June 1966 - April 2012]
The former Minister of Co-operative Governance and Traditional Affairs has died after a long illness, and tributes from his political comrades and opponents have acknowledged his contribution towards the liberation of South Africa and his hard work in the field after that was achieved.
But his mistakes were also noted, not least of all his propensity for extravagant trips at state expense (which would ultimately result in his being fired). True to form, it is this legacy that cartoonists will remember him by, as THIS COLLECTION attests.
