Africartoons goes mobile!
A VERSION OF AFRICARTOONS.COM has been designed for access by cell phones with internet capabilities - which accounts for most cell phones, and dramatically increases the reach of Africa's most authoritative editorial cartoon website.m.africartoons.com is the URL which, when clicked on from a cell phone, will present the viewer with a stripped down version of the website; optimised for fast cell phone access to the most important features of the more complex website.
The mobi site features all the cartoons, reduced to the size of a cell phone screen (but enlargeable when clicked on), with details of the cartoonists, and an easy navigation through the hundreds of cartoons which may be forwarded to friend's eMail addresses or saved onto phones to be viewed off line or saved to one's image gallery. The mobi site offers a search facility which accesses the website for its powerful search and other features
Designed by design studio digitalJUNGLE's brilliant technician Rich Archer, this mobi site ensures that Africartoons.com is made accessible to millions of people in Africa and elsewhere who would otherwise not have access to the website. It also keeps the site at the forefront of technological developments.
Africartoons.com has already been prepared for social media integration; allowing visitors to the website to share the content on Twitter, Facebook and any of 260 other social media services, and will soon announce our own platforms in some of these media.
