Zuma Defaced

AND DISMEMBERED

Brett Murray's controversial portrait of President Zuma With Unsheathed Genitalia has given rise to dozens of editorial cartoons since it was first exposed by City Press. The Clifton Trawler

WHEN A JAPANESE FISHING TRAWLER washed up on one of Clifton's pristine beaches, many Capetonians seized the opportunity to visit it, and witness the numerous attempts to refloat the large boat and its cargo of tuna. True to form, it is this legacy that cartoonists will remember him by, as THIS COLLECTION attests.

SO LONG JUJU

THANKS FOR ALL THE 'TOONS!

JULIUS MALEMA has been something of a muse to newspaper cartoonists, and a constant source of material for their cartoons. Are we about to see the last of him? Not if the media can help it, because Juju - as we've all come to know him - can't be matched for the guaranteed drama, sound bite and controversy we've come to expect of him.
